This #MovieStarMonday we visit with Paul Guilfoyle (Air Force One, LA Confidential, CSI: Vegas and MUCH MORE!)
We will visit about his new movie Any Day Now, based on a true story. On March 18th, 1990 hundreds of millions of dollars worth of art were stolen from Boston's Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. This is not that story, this movie is about Marty (Paul Guilfoyne) who ropes Steve into a world of oddballs, misfits, and lost souls as dirty as the Charles River, Steve wonders if it's a change for the better or if he's about to make the worst decision of his life. Steve Baker (Taylor Gray) is a night watchman in his early 20s, but his life is already slipping away from him. VERY FUN STORY!

SURVEYS, STUDIES & SUCH
There’s a new TikTok trend called “task masking,” but it’s actually been a thing for a lot longer than TikTok has. “Task masking,” also called “fauxductivity,” is when employees make themselves LOOK busy at work — without really doing much. That could mean typing loudly, walking quickly while carrying a laptop, wearing headphones all day, or just staring blankly at a screen for hours. While some would swear Gen Z invented it, Gervase Bushe, a professor at Simon Fraser University, says it’s been happening for over 40 years. In a recent interview, he explained that task masking is a sign of disengaged workers, often caused by fewer managers, lack of oversight, and how technology has crept into the workplace. He believes that task masking shows employees don’t feel connected to their jobs or their company’s success. A survey recently showed that 48% of managers report seeing people fake busyness at work regularly.

Channing Tatum says he’s done with packing on pounds to fit “fat roles”. The “Magic Mike” star’s weight has fluctuated over the past year as he got into character for 2 back-to-back movies, and he reflected on that as he shared shirtless mirror selfies showcasing his body transformations. He posted a pic of himself “today”, at 205 pounds, alongside one labelled “2nd photo 235 (pounds) for a movie called Josephine, and a 3rd photo, “which is 172 (pounds) for a movie Roofman.” Tatum said he is “so grateful” for his genetics – and he gave a shoutout to the people who helped him reach his different body goals. Paul Rudd has addressed rumors of his return to the MCU in upcoming “Avengers” films “Doomsday” and “Secret Wars”. Rudd – who made his Marvel debut as ‘Ant-Man’ in the 2015 movie of the same name, and was last seen in the role in “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, began by saying that directing brothers Joe and Anthony Russo “have my number.” He told Collider when asked if he was involved: “They know where I’m at, and that’s all I can say. I don’t really know how to play these things.” But he may know more than he’s letting on. When asked if he had plans to travel to London, which is where Doomsday is scheduled to begin production in a few weeks, his answer was: “Isn’t everyone traveling to London soon now in this business?”
Denzel Washington said that he doesn’t consider himself a “Hollywood actor” during his weekend appearance on “CBS Sunday Morning.” During the interview, he was asked: “What’s the definition of a Hollywood actor?” His answer: “Myself, I’m from Mt. Vernon, so I’m a ‘Mt. Vernon actor.’ I don’t know what ‘Hollywood’ means. Somebody who’s famous on film? A film actor, great success on film?” Washington described himself as “a stage actor who does film; it’s not the other way around.” He’s currently appearing on Broadway in an “Othello” revival alongside Jake Gyllenhaal.
DID YA KNOW!?
Did you know the tallest man in the world saved a pair of dolphins? Standing at almost 8 feet tall, Mongolian herdsman Bao Xishun was the record holder of the world’s tallest man in 2006 when he saved the day when a couple of dolphins were found to have swallowed plastic shards and the bits could not be extracted from their stomachs using standard instruments. His particularly long arms proved to be the most effective tool and saved both of the dolphin’s lives!

An Australian pizza chain has taken the ‘pineapple on pizza’ debate to a whole new level. Bubba Pizza, is now selling a “ham and orange pizza” at select stores. The new creation features a tomato base, Bubba’s Original Smoked Leg Ham, mozzarella – and chunks of fresh orange. Marketing material for the new flavor encourages pizza fans to “break the pineapple divide” and “try orange instead.” But social media users had a strong reaction to the pizza, with one writing: “Straight to jail”.
