A new survey says that less than half of Americans care which team wins the Super Bowl. Not only that, but the poll of 2,000 adults found that 1 in 4 are more interested in the food than the big game –and 54% agree that that the food spread can make or break the entire experience. The survey also found that the food is more important than the commercials – or the halftime show.

An Egyptian necklace dated 5,000 years old has been found to have been made out of meteoritic metals. The nine beads were found to contain high levels of nickel, cobalt, prosperous, and germanium – all characteristic metals of a meteorite. Even more interesting is how the beads were made. They were rolled from thin sheets of metal, which contradicts what historians believed about the smithing abilities of Ancient Egyptians, having previously believed the beads to have holes drilled through them.

The ‘Hawkeye’ actor posted a smiling selfie from within a hyperbaric chamber to Instagram, calling the treatment an essential part of his recovery. He wrote: “Taking care of business; this office of mine has been such a blessing and absolute champion for wellness.” He said the chamber “has been a staple” in his life for 20 months, and encouraged fans to “Pull up a chair and let’s discuss all things good in life today !!!” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/758jskf3

SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by JaseCaseMedical.com

Children who are fed a diet packed with ultra-processed foods could wind up with buck teeth, new research suggests. Additive-heavy foods like French Fries, chips, sweets and ready-made meals have been labeled unhealthy for decades, with studies linking them to type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cancer. And now, scientists who tracked dozens of young children have found that consuming a diet primarily made up of UPFs, which are typically soft and hyper-palatable, impacts jaw development. Co-author Dr Laura Marques Martinez of the Catholic University of Valencia said: “Chewing solid and fibrous foods, such as fruits, vegetables, or natural proteins, exercises the jaw…On the other hand, diets based on ultra-processed foods, which are soft and require minimal effort to chew, negatively impact jaw development”, and can cause issues such as misalignment of teeth and respiratory problems.

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

An Idaho man broke 52 Guinness World Records in 52 weeks in 2024 – the second time he’s accomplished the feat. David Rush, who previously broke a Guinness World Record every week in 2021, said he replicated the achievement while also successfully pursuing his goal of holding the most concurrent Guinness World Records titles. He kicked off the year with the most ping pong balls caught in shaving foam on the head in 30 seconds (14). The “most painful” record was the fastest to drink one liter of lime juice through a straw (13 seconds), and, he said: “Yes, I threw up.” The easiest record? The most balloons burst with boxing gloves in one minute. The number to beat was 72, and Rush “smashed” it with 327 balloons.

THE LIST: Brought to you by JaseCaseMedical.com

THE BEST CITIES TO VISIT THIS YEAR:

According to a new “top 50” ranking for 2025 from Time Out…

1. Cape Town, South Africa: Where else can you visit a colony of African penguins, taste world-class wines, stroll Blue Flag beaches, view one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, and experience vibrant nightlife — all in a day?

2. Bangkok, Thailand: The Thai capital is “famously friendly, culturally rich, and packed with iconic sites like Wat Arun and the Grand Palace.” (The food is unbelievable, too!)

3. New York, USA: From incredible public art displays and foodie pop-ups from international and Michelin-starred chefs, not to mention surprise one-night-only concerts, it feels like anything is possible.

4. Melbourne, Australia: It is the country’s “culinary and cultural capital” and it “continues to thrive and surprise.”

5. London, England: What’s not to love? The capital boasts brilliant cuisine, unkillable pub culture, unrivalled shopping opportunities and (best of all) the all-encompassing range of its people.

6. New Orleans, USA: There are many reasons to fall in love with this place, but Time Out said its resilience is the first one that comes to mind. (Also, jambalaya!)

7. Mexico City, Mexico: It is the 4th-happiest city on the list, with 96% of locals saying their city makes them happy.

8. Porto, Portugal: The country’s second city was named the 4th most beautiful on the list, and it boasts iconic cafés, top-tier hospitality, plus many galleries to keep things interesting.

9. Shanghai, China: “There’s never, ever a dull moment in Shanghai, a cinematic city where everyone’s the main character.”

10. Copenhagen, Denmark: The Danish capital “prioritises good food, good people, and looking after each other.”
