You’d think they’d be grateful, but according to a new study, men are unhappy when their wife makes more money than them. The study, published in The Economic Journal, found that when a wife outearns her husband, there is a higher incidence of mental health issues for both spouses — but especially the husband. The University of Durham researchers also pointed out that the share of couples where the wife outearns the husband is growing globally: “In both the United States and Sweden, it has increased by approximately 25% since the start of the millennium.”

Have you ever wished you could host “Saturday Night Live”? Well, your prayers have been answered (kinda). With an immersive experience taking place at New York City’s Rockefeller Center, NBC is giving fans the chance to “feel what it’s like” to host the revered sketch comedy series, now in its 50th season. Jan. 30 to Feb. 2, “Live From New York: The SNL50 Experience,” will make regular people feel like stars, “from the thrill of hearing your name announced as you burst through the stage doors to rolling your chair up to the Weekend Update desk.” The experience is free and open to the public, with reservations on a first-come, first-serve basis, beginning today. Brooke Shields says Tom Cruise privately apologized for his (quote) “ridiculous rant” about her use of antidepressants, she reveals in her new memoir. The Golden Globe nominee wrote in “Brooke Shields Is Not Allowed to Get Old: Thoughts on Aging as a Woman,” published Tuesday, that Cruise “eventually” said sorry to her. She shared that “It wasn’t the world’s best apology, but it’s what he was capable of, and I accepted it.” In a “Today” show appearance in 2005, Cruise called Shields “irresponsible” for taking medication while battling postpartum depression, claiming it “didn’t cure anything.” Shields subsequently wrote a New York Times op-ed, clapping back.

SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by JaseCaseMedical.com

Some London, England police officers are going to start using a special invisible spray to help catch phone snatchers. The Met Police Waterloo & Southbank Neighbourhood Team said all officers in its jurisdiction will be equipped with “SelectaDNA” spray. The stuff can be used to mark the clothes, vehicles and skin of criminals who try to steal electronic devices from people. When a UV light is shone on items stained by the liquid, it shines a fluorescent blue. The solution contains a unique DNA code registered to each user’s canister. On its website, manufacturer SelectaDNA says it “works by spraying the offender with an invisible synthetic DNA solution, marking skin and clothing for days, weeks, or even months.” The spray was developed “specifically to help women feel safer in public and to secure the convictions of dangerous criminals who threaten them.” In a post on X, the Met’s Lambeth North-West page said: “We will be able to tag suspects with unique identifiable liquid that stains the suspect’s skin and clothes and will allow us to link suspects to crimes.”

WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com

You can buy coffee in all sorts of weird ways these days, including coffee butter, espresso tonics, and whiskey-flavored beans. So why not clear coffee? Slovakian brothers David and Adam Nagy invented “CLR CFF” because as heavy coffee drinkers, they were tired of stained teeth. CLR CFF, sold in bottles, is made from “high quality Arabica coffee beans and pure water,” and doesn’t contain “preservatives, artificial flavours, stabilizers, sugar or any other sweetener.” It took them 3 months to come up with their recipe, which they are keeping secret. A British newspaper reported that despite it’s look, the coffee is strong, similar to a “potent cold brew,” and that one bottle should last an entire day.
