It’s just like that old saying “57 channels and nothing’s on”, except now there are about 57 streaming services, and still, people are having a tough time deciding what to watch. A new survey has found that despite having more content at their fingertips than ever before, the average person spends a staggering 110 hours per year – nearly 5 full days(!!) – simply scrolling through streaming platforms in search of something to watch. The Talker Research poll, conducted in the US, found that one in 5 streaming subscribers feel that finding something good to watch is harder now than a decade ago, and 41% struggle with increasingly large content libraries. 51% agreed that they feel overwhelmed by the sheer content of content suggested to them by streamers, and 26% feel that streamers are making too much original content these days.

Perhaps “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” is a touch too tough. Denise Richards, who will appear in an episode of Fox’s grueling reality series’ 3rd season, recently revealed that she “jumped off a bridge” while filming the show, which, as she put it, “ruptured my implants.” The “Wild Things” star clarified on “Jeff Lewis Live” that it was the harness which caused the injury, saying, “I still have to get them redone.” When Lewis asked if Fox was picking up the tab for the procedure, Richards said” “No, I have to pay the price. I think I pretty much signed (my) life away doing that show. It’s dangerous.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have kick-started 2025 with some welcome news — the duo’s sprawling Montecito, California mansion has doubled in price. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex snapped up the stunning property for $14.65 million in the summer of 2020, and the lavish home is now worth a whopping $29 million, according to Zillow. Since quitting royal life and settling in the US, the pair have been anchored in their 18,000-square-foot home that boasts A-list neighbors including Oprah Winfrey and, until recently, Ellen DeGeneres. The 9-bedroom, 16-bathroom luxe pad is home to the Sussexes, as well as their son, 5-year-old Prince Archie, and their daughter, Princess Lilibet, who is 3.
SCOOP OF THE DAY: Brought to you by JaseCaseMedical.com
Elon Musk has announced that the first SpaceX missions to Mars aboard the next-generation Starship rocket are planned for 2026.
It’s a groundbreaking new development that ISN’T on display at this year’s CES in Vegas. A new $13 million project is aiming to build synthetic life from scratch, for the first time ever. Funded by the European Research Council, a group of scientists are working to create simple living systems capable of “Darwinian evolution” within the next 6 years. Instead of using nucleotides – the “building blocks” of life” – the “MiniLife” researchers plan to create life from simple chemicals that are not already a product of evolution. The goal: human-made, completely synthetic molecules. The team hopes that cooking up a lab-controlled life-form could shed some light on how natural life began on Earth nearly 4 billion years ago.

THE MINT MOBILE QUESTION OF THE DAY: Mintervention.com
Twice as many men claim to have done THIS .. compared to women. What is THIS?
Answer: They claim they’ve stuck to their New Year’s resolution.
WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com
If your New Year’s resolution involves joining a gym, you’d best be sure not to pick Ascendancy Fitness. Why? Clayton Leah, the owner of the club, in Cheshire, England, has put the word out that his facility will not be accepting new members this month. He has been turning away potential new members at the time of year when new members are most likely to join, in order, he says, to protect existing gym members. According to him, eager January newcomers generally wind up tapering off as their will to maintain a New Year’s resolution wear off. And he didn’t want to “annoy” his long-term members. He claims the reaction “has been overwhelmingly positive”, and hopes the initiative of not accepting new members this month will encourage people to join throughout the year, instead.
