Since the pandemic, the terms “hybrid working” and “working from home” (WFH) have become commonplace. And while we’re all aware of some of the benefits of being able to save at least a few trips to the office each week, here’s one that you might not have thought of: More sleep. Newly released stats show that Brits who work from home at least some of the time get an extra 24 minutes of sleep or rest per day, compared to their office-working counterparts. They also get to spend an average of 15 extra minutes on exercise, sports and wellbeing activities. And as you may be aware, science has shown a link between sleep, productivity, and mental and physical health. So, if you’re lucky enough to be able to work from home, count your blessings!

Ellen DeGeneres is denying rumors that her new home with Portia de Rossi in the UK was flooded. The former TV talk show host shared a picture of the couple with green rolling hills behind them, and wrote that she looks forward to their first snowy Christmas — their first since permanently relocating from the Santa Barbara area to the area of Cotswolds, England last month. She also added a small P.S. to fans concerned about media reports that their new place, located in an area that recently experienced raging floods and 80mph winds, had been damaged, writing: “for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/3bp46fmp

Britney Spears turned 43 on Monday, but she claims in concerning new Instagram videos that she’s really 5 — and she’s moving to Mexico. In clips posted to her IG account, Spears starts off by talking about how the paparazzi put her on a plane with a mask over her face while carrying a torch given to her by a friend. She also discusses her birthday, wrongly stating that she turned 42 when she’s actually 43. She goes on to say she’s actually only 5 — and going to kindergarten, and has moved to Mexico because the paparazzi are cruel in the way they portray her. Spears was photographed Monday heading to a private jet on a tarmac at an L.A.-area airport. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/yjka7v6j

A study shows men tend to overeat when surrounded by women.

New research shows that Gen Z consumes more online content than any other generation. The poll of 2,000 people in the US found that Gen Z respondents (ages 12-27) consume an average of 6.6 hours of media and content every day. The comprehensive study on media consumption also showed that, on average, Americans (of all ages) consume 6 hours of content per day — or 42 hours per week, which would add up to 91 full days per year. 42% of those polled said they consume “too much” media, with 66% of Gen Z agreeing with that sentiment.

If you had the choice, and weren’t required to live where you do because of personal circumstances, where in the world would you choose to live and work from? The work fulfilment site Jobseeker.com has released its new report, analyzing social trend data — to uncover where people wish they could work – if they had the chance to move anywhere. It determined that the most wished-for international relocation destination is . . . Canada. Australia came second, followed, in order, by Switzerland, USA, Singapore, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, the UK, Germany, Qatar, and Spain.

A plain white canvas, valued at more than $1.5 million, is up for auction. The 1970 piece by minimalist American painter Robert Ryman, titled “General 52″ x 52″ (a nod to its dimensions) — will be up for grabs at the Ketterer Kunst auction house in Berlin Dec. 6 and 7. The artwork appears to be blank, but the all-white canvas with a slightly darker white frame actually was painted using white enamel and enamelac paints, typically used to paint metal. The auction house expert explained that the work shows that “White is not always white…The viewer is challenged and becomes the creator of the art.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/26n8nvtj
