Harvard researchers say they have cracked the code to being happy at work. Their 10-year study of more than 1,000 employees found that the secret is to focus on progress over perfection in your career. Doing so, they say, leads to greater fulfillment than chasing a ‘dream job’ that “ticks all of your boxes”. Co-author of the study Michael Horn said you should “identify what energizes you, understand what your priorities are, and embrace the trade-offs needed to get there.” He said that letting go of the idea of a dream job doesn’t mean abandoning ambition – it’s about building a more satisfying and balanced career.

Something Wicked comes our way – again. Producers of “Wicked: Part Two” have announced a new title ahead of its 2025 release. The second movie of the 2-part big screen adaptation of the hit musical will arrive in theaters on November 21, 2025, and will be called “Wicked: For Good”. News of the title change was confirmed via the film’s official X account, which tweeted: “You will be changed. Wicked: For Good, only in theaters November 21, 2025.” The title of the second movie is the same as one of the song titles that appears in the second act of the musical. Juan Soto has signed the richest contract — not just in baseball — but in professional sports history. The 26-year-old former Yankees outfielder has agreed to a 15-year, $765 million deal with the New York Mets. That works out to $51 million per year, (almost $315K per game), and handily surpasses the 10-year, $700 million contract Shohei Ohtani got from the LA Dodgers last year. Also, Soto’s deal does not include any deferred cash, unlike Ohtani, who won’t get 97% of his money for a decade. In other baseball news, fans are fiercely debating a potential rule change. While still hypothetical, the idea is gaining momentum, and would drastically alter the sport. Named the “Golden At-Bat”, it would allow managers to send their best hitter to the plate at any time once during a game, as a way of ramping up the drama. MLB commissioner Rob Manfred has confirmed that conversations about the Golden At-Bat have taken place, but that they were “very preliminary” in nature.

A cruise ship was playing the “Titanic” theme when it suddenly lilted, and seemed like it was tilting over, according to passengers. The ‘Explorer of the Seas’ was near Spain’s Canary Islands off the African coast, when it was rocked by an “unexpected wind gust,” Royal Caribbean Cruises said. The wind made the ship tilt at a 45-degree angle, causing superficial damage and requiring the ship to dock so a passenger could seek medical assistance. Footage of the incident shows furniture sliding across the deck and passengers running and screaming.
