Do you feel more appreciated at your job at this time of year? More than half of us do, according to a new survey. A talker Research poll of 2,000 employees in the US found that 55% feel more appreciated during the holiday season than at any other time of the year. Perhaps as a result of that warm and tingly feeling, 65% said they will likely attend their workplace holiday party this year. Of course, the free food is a factor, cited by 39% as a reason for going. 34% said they’d probably go if their work friends go, too. And by the way, if you’re a supervisor, here is something to keep in mind: 46% of workers said they value appreciation for their work from the boss even more than receiving regular raises

The new trailer for Disney’s live-action remake of “Snow White” has been released, showcasing more of Rachel Zegler’s vocals, the 7 dwarfs, and Gal Gadot’s villainous turn as the ‘evil queen’. Directed by Marc Webb, it is the latest Disney remake of the 1937 animated classic “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” This version follows ‘Snow White’ after the jealous wicked queen, who also happens to be her mother, orders her murder. Snow White runs away into a forest and discovers the magic of the 7 dwarfs in a cottage. The film hits theaters March 21. LINK: https://youtu.be/iV46TJKL8cU

Starbucks has submitted an application for licensing to sell alcohol at multiple locations.
It’s officially “best of” season – when websites and publications create their lists of the year’s top movies, music, news stories — and whatever else they can think of. But financial experts are suggesting you make your own list – of the best subscriptions that you pay for – and ditch the rest. Between streaming platforms, apps, gym memberships and meal kits, subscriptions tend to pile up, and before you know it, the costs can really add up, too. One great idea is to audit your subscriptions. Simply check your bank account and credit card statements and take note of every subscription payment. Once you have your list, separate the memberships into categories, such as: Health, TV & movies, music, apps & games, and business & finance. From there, look for any redundancies, because why pay for 2 music services, or other dual subscriptions? Those are the first ones to go. Next, evaluate each subscription, and decide how often you use it. For example, if you pay $100 a month for a high-end gym that you only go to once a week, you’re paying $25 for each visit. Is that worth it to you? Finally, if you find you are on the fence about some subscriptions, consider downgrading to a more affordable subscription tier, which might still give you access, but at a lower cost.

Answer: Wrapping gifts
WEIRD NEWS: Brought to you by WeirdGiftOfTheDay.com
Leave it to the restaurant that has been known to sell a fireplace log and candles that smell like fried chicken to come up with THIS: KFC has announced possibly the oddest wrapping paper you’ve ever heard of. While not coming right out and saying its new gift wrap is “finger-lickin’ good”, they do call it “lickable.” The official description from the restaurant says the stuff tastes like “KFC’s Original Recipe Chicken with a refreshing hit of cranberry sauce and an aromatic pinch of sage.” The wrapping paper was reportedly inspired by KFC’s limited-time Stuffing Stacker Burger, which contains 2 chicken fillets, a stuffing patty, and spicy cranberry sauce. Unfortunately (or possibly fortunately), it’s sold out for now. But if you’re really determined to taste it, you can probably find it on eBay. But remember, the description warns that it is “not intended for human consumption” — but the products used to make it are all food-safe and nontoxic. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/4zezbwzz

NORMAL GROSS THINGS:
A Reddit user recently asked others to share the “completely normal things” that gross them out – and now I “can’t even” with some of these . . .
☞ “Licking their fingers to grab something they hand over to you, like money or their ID (I work in retail).”
☞ “People who talk and are unaware of a little spit collecting at the corners of the mouth. Yuck.”
☞ “The dried milk that forms a crust of horror in and around the cap of the milk jug.”
☞ “Breathing the air in public restrooms.”
☞ “The feeling of wooden popsicle sticks on my tongue. Ice cream on a cone? Fine. But those wooden sticks? I’d rather go without dessert.”
☞ “The weird bits in meat. If I chew something that doesn’t feel right, it’s ruined. I can’t eat anymore after that.”
☞ “The feeling of pantyhose/tights. It makes my skin crawl! It’s similar to microfiber cloths. Also, washing the dishes in the sink and touching a wet piece of food!”
☞ “Sitting on a toilet seat right after someone has just used the same toilet seat, and it’s still warm.”
