Men who get married ‘age’ slower than those who do not — but the same is not necessarily true for women. Research published in the journal International Social Work showed how, after tracking the health and well-being of adults aged 45-85 over a 25-year period, married men who stayed married aged more successfully than their never-married peers. Married women, on the other hand, did not age much differently than females who never wed. Women who were hitched, then unhitched were found to be at a disadvantage to their married and single friends, in the studied categories of physical health, mental health, social wellness, and self-perception related to age.

On
May 23, 2012, the American nuclear submarine USS Miami was damaged
beyond repair by a fire whilst it was docked up in a Naval Shipyard.
Although the start of this fire was unclear at first, civilian
employee Casey J. Fury later admitted to starting the fire in order
to “get out of work early.” For this, he was sentenced to 17
years in federal prison and ordered to pay $400 million in
recompense.

The “Yellowstone” saga isn’t coming to an end just yet. Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are set to bring their characters ‘Beth’ and ‘Rip’ to a new spinoff, Variety reports sources as saying. The news comes just before Sunday’s season finale of the 5th season of Yellowstone, which has been long speculated to be a series finale, given the departure of star Kevin Costner midway through the season. Show mastermind Taylor Sheridan is said to be working on the creative for the new show, which will likely feature other cast members from the mothership series alongside Reilly and Hauser.
Jeremy Allen White has joined the “Star Wars” film “The Mandalorian & Grogu” as the voice of ‘Jabba the Hutt’s’ son, ‘Rotta the Hutt’. The project marks the first major franchise for the actor following his Emmy-winning breakout role on the FX series “The Bear.” Plot details are scarce for The Mandalorian & Grogu, and White’s casting as Jabba’s son provides the first real glimpse for what could be in store for the bounty hunter and his adorable adopted son. The Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” is set in the years following the events of 1983’s “Return of the Jedi”, and is scheduled for release in May 2026.

NASA says warp drive may soon become a reality.
A Japanese company claims it has invented the “washing machine of the future” – for people. Showerhead maker Science Co. says it is about “70% there” in its quest to offer people the ultimate bath. Named the “Mirai Ningen Sentakuki,” the cutting-edge shower capsule is completely enclosed, similar to a cryogenic chamber, and takes just 15 minutes to wash and dry the user. How does it work? After the user steps into the center seat, the transparent cockpit fills partway with water. Sensors then measure the person’s pulse and other biological metrics to make sure the user is bathed at the ideal temperature. The person is then blasted by highspeed water jets firing 3-micrometer-wide air bubbles. When those pop, they produce a small but powerful pressure wave that supposedly scours grime from the skin. Meanwhile, an AI system analyzes those biomarkers to determine if the bather is calm or excited, and then projects a specially chosen video onto the pod’s interior to help calm them. The company claims that as a result, the user receives a “psychological deep-clean to go with the physical one.” Science Co. hopes to make them available next year. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/mtp2hhnz

A British man was awarded US $2.53 in compensation from Mars Wrigley UK after he unwrapped a Mars bar (similar to a Milky Way in the US) — and found it was missing its signature ripple on top. Harry Seager posted a photo of his unusually smooth candy bar to the Dull Men’s Club group on Facebook, and the post quickly went viral, garnering hundreds of shares and thousands of comments. According to him, “It tasted the same, it just was a lot thinner on top.” Seager reached out to the company the next day. He said he wasn’t seeking compensation, but he was curious about what had caused the Mars bar’s smoothness, and wanted to inform the company in case there was a production problem that hadn’t been caught. Mars Wrigley did not offer an explanation, but did award him a £2 voucher. Harry’s reaction: “I think £2 is great, it will be 2 free Mars bars.” LINK: https://tinyurl.com/2vd9p5k4
