A new survey found that the average football fan has already given up on their team’s chances for this season. The poll of 2,000 fantasy football owners revealed that while a staunch 56% declare they “never give up,” the reality is that by Week 6, 16% of managers have already thrown in the towel, with Week 10 emerging as the deadliest single week for league dropouts. It’s not all doom and gloom, though, as 31% of fantasy football owners remain confident of their chances, and 59% are “hanging in there” and hoping their fortunes change.

Jamie Foxx is finally discussing the medical emergency that kept him out of public life for the past 2 years in his new Netflix special “What Had Happened Was.” The just-released trailer starts with a series of headlines, ranging from one that reports he was hospitalized for a “medical complication — to one that says “Jamie Foxx is a clone.” As Foxx walks out to a cheering audience, he triumphantly yells, “I’m back…I’m so glad to be here…What had happened was…” Once Foxx says the name of the special, the trailer cuts off. The one-man show premieres on Dec. 10. LINK: https://tinyurl.com/yck553de
Pete Davidson has revealed how much money “Saturday Night Live” cast members actually make. Several of the show’s iconic past and current cast members reflected on their time on SNL in a video in honor of its 50th anniversary. Davidson, who starred on 8 seasons of the legendary comedy show, quipped to the camera: Do you guys know what they pay us? It’s like 3 grand an episode, so I think I got dinner.” The clip was shared on the New York magazine Instagram account this week.

According to Bloomberg, hiring in the U.S. grew by 200,000.
How do you feel when you are electronically asked to give a tip – and you feel like you’re being watched? According to a new report, the simple act of leaving a tip has changed from a private moment to what many think of as “guilt tipping” – and that is influencing how much we tip, and our likelihood of returning to a business. The study, published in the Journal of Business Research, found that the rising use of digital point-of-sale systems (tablet screens that swivel to face customers), while convenient, can contribute to “tipflation” – the feeling that tipping expectations have gotten out of hand. Customers who used the more private countertop system were found to be significantly more likely to return to the business. On the other hand, those who felt they were being observed while using the handheld system tipped more. The researchers concluded that this presents an interesting question for business owners: While they might generate higher tips for their employees through less private payment systems, they risk damaging customer loyalty and word-of-mouth recommendations in the process.

The world’s largest iced latte has been served – in an 11-foot (3.6m) tall cup. Social media star Nick DiGiovanni teamed up with Dunkin’ to break the Guinness World Record for the largest iced latte. DiGiovanni, who is also a chef, filled an 11-foot-high Dunkin’ cup with ice, milk and espresso. After Guinness confirmed the record, the 276-gallon beverage was poured into smaller cups and served to more than 300 employees at Dunkin’s corporate office in Massachusetts.
