A new study suggests sugary fruit juices and fizzy drinks may be linked to a higher likelihood of strokes. The findings, from global research studies by University of Galway and McMaster University Canada, found that both fizzy ‘soda pop’ beverages, either with sugar or artificially sweetened, increase stroke risk by 22%, and fruit juices by 37%. And bad news for coffee lovers, too: It was also found that drinking more than 4 cups of per day also appears to increase stroke risk. The good news is that those who enjoy sparkling water can sip easy, since this study refers specifically to sugary drinks.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and some other big names have joined the cast of Prime Video’s highly anticipated adult animated anthology series, “Secret Level.” During a New York Comic Con panel, it was announced that Schwarzenegger, Kevin Hart and Keanu Reeves will top the star-studded lineup. They’re joined by Schwarzenegger’s son Patrick and Hart’s daughter Heaven, plus a number of other “name” actors. Secret Level features original stories set within the worlds of some of the most beloved video games, and will be available on Prime Video starting December. 10.
Chick-Fil-A has revealed more details about its move into the entertainment business. In summer, news broke that the fast-food company had started commissioning original content. It said that the service was “designed for parents and kids to share and experience together whether they’re enjoying a meal at home, in the drive-thru, or anywhere in- between”. The chicken firm will debut “Chick-Fil-A Play” on November 18. It will launch with a number of original animated shows, including “Evergreen Hills” and “Chick-fil-A Cows”, scripted podcasts, a handful of cooking shows, and interactive stories. It is also gearing up for larger content plans next year.
Harvey Weinstein has been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, a form of bone marrow cancer, according to multiple reports. Reps for Weinstein haven’t confirmed the diagnosis, and in a statement, they said, “Out of respect for Mr. Weinstein’s privacy, we will offer no further comment.” Chronic myeloid leukemia involves the unregulated growth of myeloid cells in bone marrow, where blood cells form, which then attacks white blood cells. NBC, which first broke the news of Weinstein’s condition, reports he is being treated at Riker’s Island prison in New York, where he is being held pending a retrial on rape charges set to begin in November.

But that doesn’t answer the important question of “up or down?” Ek says how you load them is a safety issue, and for that reason, the pointy sides should face down. This can help prevent injury, particularly if there are children helping load or unload the dishwasher. It also means you won’t have to touch the part that goes in your mouth when you’re unloading.
