This series dives further into Connelly's investigation of the July 1, 1981 Wonderland massacre, one of Hollywood's most famous murder cases that has fascinated people for more than 40 years. This series builds upon the podcast's archival footage of the events and interviews with Scott Thorson, the only surviving* witness on the murder night and the once boyfriend of Liberace and adds additional testimonies and interviews from detectives and prosecutors involved with the case. It is the first and only time that Scott has told his full story on screen

With less than 100 days to go, it seems that if you haven’t begun your Christmas shopping, you’re already behind. A new poll shows that one in 4 people have started their seasonal shopping – mainly because they’re worried about items selling out. The survey, conducted in the US, revealed that in the past, half of us have had problems getting their hands on in-demand presents, and 30% have completely missed out on the item they were after. And that’s why 36% said they have already purchased the “main present” for an adult. What are the items we are most concerned about selling out? Decorations were first (36%), followed by tech products (32%), advent calendars (29%), and “must-have” toys (29%). Other shoppers said they started the Christmas shopping season early as a way of spreading the cost (52%), or simply because they love Christmas (26%).

Researchers
at University of Michigan say that being a dedicated gym-goer might
be doing more for your body than just burning calories – it could
actually make your belly fat “healthier”. In the study, they
found that long-term exercise appears to increase your body’s
ability to store fat effectively. That means that if you do gain
weight, your body is more likely to store that extra fat in the
healthier subcutaneous tissue (just under the skin), rather than in
more dangerous areas, such as around your organs or inside your
liver.

Donald Glover said the next “Star Wars” chapter “Lando” is still happening — and not only will it present a new chapter centered on his character ‘Lando Calrissian’, he also wants the film to bring joy to fans. Quote: “As a Star Wars fan myself, I think it’s important that there just needs to be more fun being had.” Glover pointed out that “there are very serious things happening … But part of the human experience, I believe, is we have a responsibility to have enjoyment and I just feel like we’re lacking in that department.” He said the movie will be completely centered on the smooth-talking smuggler, and how he rose to his status in the original trilogy.
A new docuseries from Investigation Discovery following the rise and fall of Sean “Diddy” Combs is in production. The special, from the producers of “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV” will delve into the “allegations of violent behavior and illegal activity that have trailed the music mogul.” News of the project comes after Combs was arrested on Monday and charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The indictment also includes allegations of kidnapping, forced labor, bribery, and other crimes. Producer Maxine Productions said the untitled docuseries “traces the story of this self-proclaimed Bad Boy, unraveling allegations of a pattern of depravity.” Combs is currently in federal custody after pleading not guilty.
Oprah Winfrey will sit down with actress Riley Keough — Elvis Presley‘s granddaughter — for the CBS primetime event “An Oprah Special: The Presleys — Elvis, Lisa Maria and Riley.” It’ll be the first extensive interview with Keough about her family since the death of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, in 2023. Winfrey interviewed Keough at Graceland in Memphis, where the king of rock and roll is famously buried. The special, which airs Oct. 8, is described as “an intimate conversation about her life, Lisa Marie’s life, and her famous family.” The special coincides with the Oct. 8 release of Lisa Marie Presley’s posthumous memoir “From Here to the Great Unknown,” which Keough helped co-write and finish.

A report claims that women with big butts are likely to live longer.
Here’s a little something to keep in mind as you get set for your weekend shenanigans: Many believe that chugging water after a night of drinking will help you avoid a hangover, but experts are…well, they’re pouring cold water on that theory. Using data from 3 studies, researchers from Utrecht University in the Netherlands concluded that dehydration is not the sole cause of a hangover – and therefore drinking water has a limited effect on how you feel the next day. They looked at the hangover symptoms of boozers who drank water before bed versus those who didn’t – and found that while people who drank water felt less dehydrated, they experienced the same amount of pain, nausea, and exhaustion the next day as those who didn’t slug water. The conclusion: Consuming water during or directly after a drinking session does NOT prevent hangovers. Also: drinking water after the hangover has started does nothing to alleviate the symptoms.

Police are looking for a man and woman who took an empty New York City subway train on a joyride. Surveillance photos released by the NYPD show a woman dressed all in pink, including a pink shower cap, and a man in a blue tank top. They boarded an unoccupied train parked at the Briarwood station in Queens just after midnight on Sept. 12 — and somehow got it running. But not for long. They crashed it into another parked train, then took off on the run. No word on how much damage they caused.

Rachel Hundertmark had been planning for months to propose to her partner Rashad Polk at a Modest Mouse concert, after sharing their first kiss at a show by the same act in 2021. In June, they headed to the gig with Rachel’s 16-year-old daughter Jasmine. Rachel had a ring in her pocket — with no idea that Rashad had the same plan. Both had confided in Jasmine that they were going to propose, but the teen managed to keep the secrets. The Baltimore mom dropped to one knee first, and Rashad burst into laughter before doing the same thing – all while Jasmine caught the heart-warming moment on camera.
