A survey found that the average person starts feeling “old” at age 47. The survey of US adults also revealed that the average respondent starts to really worry about age-related bodily changes around 50 years old. Perhaps surprisingly, most people said they aren’t nearly as concerned about losing their youthful looks as they’re concerned about the mental decline that can happen with aging. Only one in 4 was concerned about looking unattractive in old age. And 1 in 4 said they ARE worried they’ll lose touch with what’s “hip and cool”, once they’re elderly.

Although the TV show “Friends” is based around life in New York City, the entire show was filmed in California. Whether you love it or hate it, Friends was one of the most iconic TV shows to come out of the nineties and early 2000s. That being said, there are actually a small handful of locations where filming took place outside of LA. One of these is, of course, Monica and Rachel’s apartment building at 90 Bedford St in New York. A number of other locations filmed in New York for the serious include the places where the friends all work.

Tom Cruise has been forced to press pause on the 8th “Mission: Impossible” film, reports say. While the SAG-AFTRA strikes initially delayed production, he managed to pick up where he left off in March. But now, a technical malfunction has caused further complications. The Mirror says that cast and crew were forced to take a step back from filming after a malfunction with a submarine occurred. The device used to lower the structure jammed, requiring ongoing repairs. Currently, Mission: Impossible 8 is set to premiere May 23, 2025, but with production pushed back, it’s unknown if that will change.

Bridgerton” Season 3 is Netflix’s most-watched series for a second week since its debut. Part 1 of Season 3, which follows ‘Penelope Featherington’ and ‘Colin Bridgerton’s’ friends-to-lovers arc, logged 25.3 million views during the week of week of May 20. Despite being down 44% from its first week, it was still the streamer’s most-watched TV series of the week. As fans await the Part 2 release next month, Bridgerton’s Season 1 was the 2nd-most-watched show, while the 3-part docuseries “Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies & Scandal” was third.

Jim Parsons has weighed in on the possibility that there could be more of ‘Sheldon Cooper’ in the future — if a sequel to “The Big Bang Theory” ever materializes. He was recently asked what it would take for him to reprise the role. His answer: “Reincarnation. Next lifetime.” He elaborated, a bit, saying: “Never say never to anything. Life is long, God-willing, but I don’t think so.” He recently reprised his role in the “Young Sheldon” series finale, a Big Bang Theory prequel.

40% of us eat ice cream when we are angry.

Does eating small rocks aid in digestion? Does glue belong on a pizza? Well, yes, according to the new “AI Overview”, now embedded into Google Search. Those obvious errors, along with others, like the suggestion that gasoline pairs well with spaghetti, are among the bizarre declarations that people noticed in Google’s AI Overviews, which are AI-generated summaries of search results. The feature, launched 2 weeks ago, supposedly “does the Googling for you”. But if Overviews represents the “new improved” era of the world’s most popular search engine, we might be tempted to ask it to bring back “Ask Jeeves”. Other false statements provided by Google AI include:

No African country starts with the letter ‘K’. (Uh…Kenya, anyone?)

13 US Presidents went to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. (None did.)

And horrifyingly, one person claims the feature told them one way to deal with depression is by “jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge.”

It seems the feature’s shaky start is because it sometimes takes its info from less-than trustworthy sources, and also sometimes takes humor to be true. Google’s actual people claim they are making adjustments in the name of accuracy.

The dating app Bumble has plans to not just help find you a date – it’ll date for you. At a tech conference, Exec chair Whitney Wolfe Herd floated the idea of AI dating “concierges” getting to know each other, to spare people the tedious process of awkwardly sitting through those first few conversations with strangers that they’ll never have any chemistry with. Aside from helping to narrow the pool of potential mates, she revealed that the app will use AI to help swiping singles not just improve people’s flirting, but also do the flirting for them.
