A
24-year-old man was arrested after speeding through a barricaded
crash scene, nearly hitting six deputies, and saying he has business
at the Ritz Carlton. Deputies were on scene of a serious crash
involving a downed power line just before 11:00 p.m. and had traffic
cones detouring traffic away from the site. Joshua Gaukhman, driving
a BMW and sporting one sock, boxers, and an undershirt, came
barreling through the crash site nearly hitting six deputies and
dragging a traffic cone under his car. All deputies said they had to
jump out of the way of the car that was estimated to be driving at
100-mph. Gaukhman was pulled over, got out of his car, and walked
towards deputies aggressively. Deputies arrested the 24-year-old and
found cocaine, a rolled-up dollar bill, a marijuana grinder, and a
hash oil vaporizer in his vehicle. Guakhman was taken to the Sarasota
County Jail. When asked where he was headed Guakhman sarcastically
said “Oh, where was I going? I was going to the Ritz Carlton. You
know? I was going to the Ritz Carlton! I have business to do!”

A man in the UK was caught fleeing from a restaurant — covered in nacho cheese. The man had just argued with a waitress, who asked the man to leave. When the man refused a manager came to the table and told him police had been called. For some reason the man grabbed a large bowl of nacho cheese dip and poured it all over the manager and himself. Cops caught the stick guy a few blocks away.
There’s a high school in Utah that does a “Reality Check” event every year. They give the students a random annual income, and then they visit tables for different budgeting items like housing, insurance, etc. What else should they teach in high school? How to save for retirement? How to change a tire? How to do taxes?

An
ex-con is back behind bars after she allegedly struck her male
roommate in the face with the pair’s cat. Police say that
56-year-old Wendi Hird and the 73-year-old victim were involved in a
“verbal argument” late Sunday evening in their Largo, Florida
home when the dispute turned violent. Cops say that Hird “took
their cat and threw it on the victim’s face, causing the cat to
scratch the victim’s face.” Hird then followed up the feline
attack by striking the man in the face. An arrest affidavit does not
reveal the cat’s age or weight. The victim suffered minor injuries
during the incident, for which Hird was arrested for domestic battery
on a person over the age of 65, a felony. She is being held in the
county jail in lieu of $4000 bond, and has been ordered by a judge to
have no contact with the victim. (https://bit.ly/3re0kwA)

A
South Florida woman who set fire last fall to ten garbage trucks
outside a solid waste business where she worked has been arrested.
43-year-old Saprell Frazier was taken into custody during a traffic
stop Friday in Pompano Beach, a day after being placed under
surveillance. She was charged with one count of burglary with
structural damage and eleven counts of second-degree arson.
Investigators estimated the fires did about $4 million in damage.
Officials didn't release details about how they said they identified
Frazier as a suspect or what a motive might have been. At one point,
officials had been offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information
leading to an arrest. It wasn't clear if anyone had received the
money. Frazier was being held without bond. Court records didn’t
list an attorney for her. (https://bit.ly/2Mmc2pB)
