An
apparently pants-less man was arrested in Texas after police said he
was racing in a Corvette while allegedly intoxicated late at night.
Police told KFDX that the man was arrested in Wichita Falls after he
was allegedly racing his 1999 Corvette in the middle of the night,
eventually crashing the car. According to KFDX, ten units were on the
scene at one point, including seven police officers and three
firefighters after Stephen Stradley crashed the car. A 2008 blue
Dodge Caliber was also involved in the crash. Stradley was allegedly
wearing no pants and police added that his eyes were bloodshot and
his speech was slurred. Police said Stradley failed a field sobriety
test after admitting he had three or four drinks. According to
Wichita County Sheriff’s Office jail records, Stradley had a bond
set by a judge at $6,745 for driving while intoxicated with two prior
DUI convictions and public intoxication.(https://bit.ly/2noSR27)

Police in New Jersey say a church bingo night went awry after an allegation that two players had taped a called number onto their card to claim a bingo win. Investigators explained that 71-year-old Teresa Davis and 38-year-old Keasha Brockington said they had the winning card carrying a prize of nearly $200, but a church volunteer noticed that one of the winning numbers had been taped over the number on the card. The Camden residents were charged with improper behavior under a borough ordinance. A parish official says it’s the first issue in twenty-plus years of bingo games at the church. Reptile
breeder Brian Gundy had just given a talk and animal presentation
Saturday at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in downtown San
Jose. While going to get his car parked on the second level of the
Fourth and San Fernando Street garage about 4:30 p.m., he left his
snakes and lizards in boxes and a bag in a no-parking zone.
When
he returned for his critters, he made a grim discovery. Gundy said,
“As I was loading up my gear, I realized the bag that had my four
pythons and blue skink lizard inside was gone and they were just
there seconds ago.” Gundy had seen several people walk by his
equipment, so he ran after them but couldn't catch up. He told KTVU
he doesn't think they knew what was inside. According to the reptile
breeder, the stolen animals were worth approximately $5,000.Gundy
filed a police report and hopes that the garage's surveillance video
will help identify the thieves. He told KTVU that he isn't looking to
press charges. He just wants his snakes and lizard back — no
questions asked.
