Authorities
in Massachusetts say that an intoxicated man was pulled from the cold
waters of Hyannis Harbor Sunday morning after he fell in while
washing his clothes. Barnstable police were called around 2:00 a.m.
for a report of a person stumbling around the docks at Hyannis Harbor
while trying to do laundry in the water. When officers arrived at the
docks, they spotted a pile of laundry and a man “submerged in the
harbor up to his neck while clinging to the floating pier.” The man
spent several minutes yelling for help. Officers pulled the
57-year-old Hyannis man from the water. According to police, “The
male was conscious and breathing and appeared to be heavily
intoxicated. He told police he was trying to wash his clothes when he
tumbled off the dock into the water.” The man was taken to Cape Cod
Hospital by Hyannis Rescue for treatment. (https://bit.ly/2UF2fwV)

Below
please find some tips on how to save money for Easter this
year:Make
your own basket and reuse them every year.Lots
of stores offer pre-wrapped, themed Easter baskets, but don’t be
swayed by their cuteness. You can easily do this yourself and make it
a fun and sentimental tradition, and for a lot cheaper! Baskets,
Easter grass, plastic eggs and other decorations can be reused every
year and save you a lot of money. And if you’re feeling a little
artsy, you can even make decorations instead of purchasing them!
Shred green paper for homemade Easter grass and create your own bunny
ears out of paper to attach to headbands and hats. Purchase
goodies at discounted rates.Fun
Easter baskets should be filled with a mix of candy, creative gifts,
crafts and small toys that are fun for all kids. Target, Walmart,
your local grocery store and dollar stores are all perfect places to
find great deals on these items. If you’re looking to buy
Easter-themed goodies, take note that they’ll be marked at full
price until after the holiday. Once they’re marked down, definitely
stock up on themed items for the next year so you’ll have a festive
basket to give. Best
dressedOutfits
for Easter can add up – especially if you have children. With 42
percent of Americans purchasing new outfits for the holiday, it’s
important to look for ways to save. Shop via a cashback site like
TopCashback.com to
earn a percentage back of the money you spend on qualifying
purchases. You can shop your favorite retailers like Target,
Macy's
and Walmart
while receiving a percentage of your purchase back in cashback.Home
cooked meals Going
out for Easter brunch or dinner can be costly. Restaurants sometimes
offer fixed pricing and a limited menu selection, which can be hard
on the wallet, and stomach – if you have picky eaters in your
family. Instead, cook the meals at home or host a potluck with your
friends and family. You’ll save money and be able to share the day
with loved ones all while eating your favorite holiday dishes.
