An
Oklahoma woman armed with a $1,599 t-shirt gun successfully launched
a package of contraband over the fence of a prison, but her smuggling
attempt was quickly derailed by eagle-eyed corrections officers.
Police allege that 40-year-olds Kerri Jo Hickman drove Sunday morning
to the North Fork Correctional Center in Sayre and used a
Bleacher-Reacher Pro t-shirt gun to blast a package over the fence.
Prison personnel spotted the incoming round--which landed near a
housing unit--and intercepted it before the intended recipient could
scoop up its contents. The seized package contained methamphetamine,
pot, cell phones, tobacco, ear buds, chargers, and digital scales.
Upon seeing the container launched over the fence, corrections
officers tailed the vehicle in which Hickman drove away from the
medium security men’s prison. Hickman was subsequently pulled over
and arrested by Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers.

A
pair of creeps were arrested Wednesday in a “spy camera” scheme
that recorded 1,600 hotel guests across South Korea — and
livestreamed the footage to online subscribers. The suspects nabbed
in the disturbing scheme are accused of hiding mini cameras in TV
sets, wall sockets, and hairdryer holders in dozens of rooms at
thirty hotels located in ten South Korean cities between Nov. 24th
and March 2nd. Footage of the hotel guests was broadcast on a website
with 4,099 members, 97 of whom paid a monthly $44.95 fee — netting
the group over $6,000. Two people who helped set up the spy cams were
charged but not detained, said the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
There was no indication that the hotels, who were not named, were
involved in the scheme. If convicted, the suspects could face up to
five years in prison and tens of thousands of dollars in fines.

Toilet Seats Are Cleaner Than a Lot of Other Things You Use Daily. The grossness of the germs we interact with everyday doesn’t stop at our cell phones: Your handbag can carry three times the amount of bacteria as a toilet seat. Your computer keyboard? Five times. Your faucet handle? 21 times. Your kitchen sponge? 456 times. So worry about the many other things that could make you sick.

Police in New York are searching for a man they say bit off a bar security guard's finger last month because the bar he wanted to visit was closing. The unidentified male was at El California Sports Bar in the Jackson Heights neighborhood of Queens around 4:00 a.m. Investigators say he wanted to enter the bar, but the bouncer wouldn't let him into the establishment, which was closing for the night. That is when he bit off the guard's pinkie, which doctors were reportedly able to reattach. The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man with dark hair and a goatee. Photos released by the New York Police Department showed a man matching that description, wearing black boots and a black jacket with Japanese graphics on it. (https://fxn.ws/2TzPnbH)

A
man was arrested for attempted murder after a stolen car slammed into
a 24-hour gym in La Mirada, California early Tuesday morning, and
authorities are investigating the possibility that the crash was
intentional due to a grievance held by the former member. According
to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the vehicle smashed
through glass at the front entrance of a Crunch Fitness at about 2:00
a.m. The gym was open at the time, but no injuries were reported.
Surveillance video shows an employee running to safety a split-second
before the Honda sedan comes barreling into the building and smashes
the front counter. Deputies found the driver in his own vehicle about
two miles from the scene and took him into custody. The man was
identified as 32-year-old Sergio Reyes. One employee said Reyes had
been a member of the gym for about three weeks before his membership
was canceled due to his alleged stalking and harassment of female
members. Reyes had threatened to fight gym staff after the
cancellation and was upset while awaiting a $70
reimbursement.
