On Friday, a deputy from the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious vehicle call at a Target in Port St. Lucie. The deputy on call soon found the vehicle in question, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck with a Florida tag, driving around the parking lot. The police report read, “The driver of the truck was a white male who was driving around passing available parking spaces, and staring at women as they came out of Target.” The deputy wrote that he observed the driver, later identified as Steven Elston, “looking in between vehicles while driving, possibly staring at shoppers exiting Target.” The officer asked him about his actions, and the man responded that he was getting out to go shopping inside. The officer smelled marijuana coming from the interior of the car, and Elston was detained in the patrol car while a search was performed. Inside, the deputy found a container with a red lid that tested positive on site for marijuana and weighed a total 73.2 grams. The 59-year-old was arrested on possession charges and transported to St. Lucie County Jail. (https://goo.gl/SgMY7q)

California police are investigating reports that a high school kid baked the ashes of a grandparent into sugar cookies and passed them out to classmates. According to CBS Sacramento, as many as nine kids at the DaVinci Charter Academy in Davis, California, may have noshed on the cannibal cookies. Davis police Lt. Paul Doroshov stated, “This is a weird one. I have not heard of anyone getting sick or anybody being harmed as far as physically, physiologically by this.” Two students are believed to have cooked up the morbid plot. The Davis Joint Union School District declined to provide details about the investigation. MOMENT OF DUH:
Fire officials said that a fire was sparked at a Bergen County gas station last Wednesday afternoon after a driver pulled away from the pump too early. Dramatic surveillance video shows an area of the gas station in flames after the driver pulled away, causing the pump to break from the base and vapors to ignite from the gasoline. A station attendant acted quickly, grabbing a nearby fire extinguisher to quickly put out the growing flames, according to video released by Hackensack Fire Department. The gas station owner told News 4 New York the driver had asked for $20 worth of gas, but for some reason left before paying, leaving the worker to put the fire out with two different extinguishers. The Hackensack Fire Department said that nobody was hurt in the fire. By the time firefighters got there, the blaze was out and the driver was still on the scene, with the pump still in her car.(https://goo.gl/mpwurj)
