A
burglar in England downed 24 bottles of beer and a bottle of
Jägermeister before he tried to escape from police on a bicycle. Jy
Kennedy, who had also taken cocaine, was chased by police for a mile
as he made a number of U-turns to shake them off. The 24-year-old
eventually crashed into a police car and fell off, ending the chase
in Weoley Castle, Birmingham. The chase began after two officers
heard a burglar alarm go off in Bournville Lane and spotted Kennedy
cycling along clutching a flat screen TV. Mark Phillips, prosecuting
at Birmingham Crown Court, said: “It was quite clear the defendant
was drunk.” And added, “He tried to run but did not get very far
and was arrested.” When police searched his home, they found a
number of items he had taken from the same address earlier laid out
on his bed including a jewelry box, a camcorder, and a watch. When
quizzed, Kennedy said he had been recently released from prison and

Considering
the crimes of creepy Jared Fogle, perhaps a felon should think twice
about wearing a Subway t-shirt when posing for his latest sex
offender registry photo. 29-year-old Daniel Audie Wayne Smith, a
Birmingham, Alabama resident did just that, as he actually wore a
green T-shirt with the Subway logo while take his registry photo.
Smith is on the state’s sex offender list due to his 2009
conviction on attempted sexual abuse charges. The victim was a
seven-year-old boy. Smith, who was released from prison in 2013, is
currently unemployed, according to the state registry. Fogle was
Subway’s spokesperson until his 2015 arrest for possessing child
pornography and paying a teenage girl for sex. Sentenced to 15 years
and eight months, Fogle is imprisoned at the federal lockup in

North Carolina teenager is accused of holding his boss at gunpoint
and demanding he be paid in cash. The Fayetteville Observer reports
18-year-old Joshua Caleb Hunt is charged with kidnapping and
discharging a firearm to cause fear. The Cumberland County Sheriff’s
Office says Hunt’s boss, Robert Lockamy, told authorities Hunt
called out of work Friday and hadn’t picked up his paycheck.
Lockamy says Hunt entered the business Monday and began yelling.
Lockamy says he told Hunt he didn’t have cash, but the check was
already written. Authorities say Hunt then walked Lockamy at gunpoint
to where the check was kept and took it. It’s unclear if Hunt has a
